Meet Our Minister

Rev. Jumper was born in Tiffin OH and was brought up in a Conservative congregation where he accepted Jesus as his savior at the age of 12.  After graduating from Tiffin Columban High School, he enrolled in Spartan School of Aeronautics and graduated with an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology.  He was a pilot and mechanic for over 17 years.  In 1987 he received his call to enter full time Christian ministry.  He started back to school and attended John Brown University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Education.  Then he continued to Lexington Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree and received his Doctor of Ministry from Southwest Bible College and Seminary in Jennings, LA.  He served as a student minister in two churches while gong to Seminary.  He has served several churches before joining us in Fremont.

Some comments from Pastor Steven. “My gifts for ministry fall into two primary areas, teaching and preaching. I enjoy preaching the gospel message and teaching the truth of God’s word. I want to teach people how to grow in their faith, encourage them to discover their Spiritual Gifts and equip them to use their Spiritual gifts in the ministry of the church to fulfill the Great Commission. My special interests are mentoring in the local schools, working with computers. I enjoy building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. I have also been involved with the Soap Box Derby for 26 years.

He has been happily married to Marianne for 47 years.  They have no children, but one highly pampered Cavachon, Lillie Mae.
